Nrsimha Caturdasi and SRS vyasa puja

Dear Devotees,
Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

We are truly sorry to share with you a very difficult decision. After careful evaluation of the recent developments regarding foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) in Hungary and Slovakia, the leadership of ISKCON Hungary has concluded that we will not be able to hold the Nṛsiṁha Caturdaśī and Śrīla Śivarāma Swami Mahārāja’s Vyāsa Pūjā festival in Hungary this May.

We were wholeheartedly preparing and looking forward to serving all of you during these wonderful festivals. However, the health and safety of Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Śyāma’s cows and oxen must take absolute precedence. With the current spread of FMD and the risk it poses to the animals, this is the most responsible and dharmic course of action.

In line with this decision, Kṛṣṇa Valley is now officially closed to all tourists and non-local devotees. Due to the gravity of the situation, we cannot consider any individual requests or make exceptions to this policy. We kindly ask for your understanding and support.

We know how much these festivals mean to so many of you and how eager you were to come and offer your devotion. Please know that we feel the same, and we pray that we will have the chance to welcome you later this year — perhaps during Rādhāṣṭamī or another festival, when conditions allow. We are planning to hold Śrīla Śivarāma Swami Mahārāja’s Vyāsa Pūjā celebration in connection with Rādhāṣṭamī, and we will be in touch with more details as the time approaches.

Until then, let us remain connected in service and prayer, especially for the protection of Kṛṣṇa’s cows, who are so dear to Him.

Your servants,
The Kṛṣṇa-valley Festival Team
